Marble Samples

Tennessee Marble Company and Sanders Pace Architecture partnered to recreate the original sample wall at this location. The sample display on the opposite wall is original to the building’s days as an operating marble showroom. This new sample wall displays four different types of marble sourced by Tennessee Marble Company from nearby quarries.

The marbles on this display wall include:

1. Light Rose gradient to Light Gray/Smoky Mountain Gray —Brown Quarry, Craig Quarry, Friendsville
2. Dark Rose — Brown Quarry, Craig Quarry, Endsley Quarry, Friendsville
3. Light Rose Fleuri — Brown Quarry, Friendsville
4. Quaker Gray — Grannox Quarry, Knoxville

On the opposite wall:

Experts at Tennessee Marble Company believe that the large cream-colored panels may be Crema Marfil imported from Italy. The stone on the bottom left is likely a type of marble referred to as Verde Patricia, also imported from Italy, and the dark green stone on the bottom right is Verde Antique from Vermont.

The stone columns and plinths within the garage are all variations of Tennessee Pink marble, similar to the Light and Medium Rose marbles, which Tennessee Marble Company currently quarries at the Brown Quarry location in Friendsville.
